Erik Pirolt, Kristiansand, Norway. Educated at “Kunstakademiet” in Oslo and Art School in Trondheim. He works in a variety of materials and expressions, anything from drawing, construction, video and sculpture. Many of his projects draw from architecture. Some of these has a surrealistic expression, close to an utopian character.
“While we are waiting”
A cross cut of a plane. The scene illustrates three people sitting in a monotonous world. I am searching for a tragicomic expression. Try to envision three “Roy Andersson” characters. I consider the enormous distance we find between people that are sitting close to each other for hours.
